Systemethic TV

Build your Participatory TV!

FAQ

Systemethic TV is a suite of tools that allows you to quickly build or generate Web TV - OTT TV channels using content present on different Web platforms (Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, social networks, images, audio etc.) and make these channels available and visible on the platform.

Systemethic TV is not a broadcasting company for audiovisual works, but a social network type tool allowing the sharing of videos, texts, images and audio files. Aside from the adaptability to Android TV, the main difference with most social networks regarding shared items is that the timeline is not defined based on shared items, but shared items are. depending on the timeline. Users can therefore position their content on specific dates and times. Users with access to a channel can either view any of its content from that channel, on PC, mobile or TV at the time of their choice, or play the content according to the timeline (or program schedule) defined by the owner of the channel, and thus benefit from a television experience.

Setting up channels and program schedules, as well as adding viewers or new channels with a code are actions that can only be carried out from the website. The programs can be viewed both from the website and using the Android TV and mobile applications.

You can create your channel in just a few minutes by entering your playlist URLs and prompts to generate content for your channel using AI.

You can edit your channel by manually adding/removing new media such as playlists and prompts, as well as other media such as your Facebook posts, videos from other services (Vimeo, etc.), or even audio and images.

Of course, you can also build your channel step by step by creating your programs, grids, and super grids by hand.

Find the different steps to set up and watch a channel here

To watch a channel, go to the TV Services - Channels tab and browse the different channels available in the following sections: - Live (demo package, by default), - Channels with code (other users' channels), - My channels (channels you've created).

If you have a smart TV/set-up box running Android, you can install the app and enjoy the service optimally. Otherwise, you can go directly to the website, even on smart TV/set-up boxes, as the site is optimized for remote control navigation. You can also embed the player into your website and share your channel on your page, Facebook group, or any other type of social network.

Note: If you are connecting from a TV, you may be required to log in with your user code (or TV code); this code is assigned to you immediately after registering on the site and can be found on the home page.

Note 2: You can watch STV service channels in standard TV mode (media are displayed at the time they were scheduled) as well as in VOD mode.

Each channel has a channel code that you can find on the channel page or in the details of a selected channel. Share your channel code so other users can add your channel to their packages.

To add another user's channel, you must go through the website (this action is not available on the apps). Go to the TV Services tab -> Search for a channel or to the TV Services tab -> Channels -> select the Add code tab.
Then enter the channel code.
Depending on the channel's visibility (private, public, etc.), you will be able to access it immediately or after the channel owner grants you permission.

Note: You can stop following a channel or remove a viewer from your channel at any time.

A participatory channel is a channel on which authorized viewers can share videos.

To make a participatory channel, simply go to the channel's page and select the Edit button. Then check the checkbox to declare your channel as participatory and confirm.

To grant access to the users of your choice, simply go to the channel's page and select the Show Viewers button. Then grant or revoke access to the users of your choice. Note: You can enable verification to review all content uploaded to your channel before it is published. When a user shares programs on your channel, they will appear in your program list, in the Shared Programs section. Programs not visible to other users are those that do not have an assigned catalog and are indicated by an alert icon.

To add content to a shared channel, you must be a subscriber (or viewer). You must then create a program with one or more URLs or through various means. Then go to your program's details page and, if you are subscribed to a participatory channel, you will see the share button appear. Click it, select the channel on which you want to share your program, and confirm!

Note: For now, shared programs are visible in VOD mode but are not automatically integrated into the channel's program grids. You will need to manually integrate these programs if you want them to be included in Web TV mode. To access a channel's VOD catalog, simply go to the channel's page and select VOD.

Protected: users can find your channel using the corresponding code and send you an access request. You can then decide to grant or deny them access to your channel. You can also authorize users up front.

Private: users cannot find your channel or send you an access request. You will need to authorize the users of your choice by searching for their name or email address. Once permissions have been granted, the users concerned will have access to your channel immediately after entering their code.

Public: users immediately have access to your channel after entering their code, without the need for authorization. This status is required to share your channel on social networks or to embed your channel on your site using the embedded player.

A program on Systemethic TV is similar to a classic TV program. The latter may contain one or more videos from external websites, posts transformed into videos and transitions containing text and/or an image and/or background sound and (coming soon) videos sent by you to our servers.

There are several ways to generate a program:
- Enter YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, and Odysee video URLs
- Enter YouTube or Dailymotion playlist URLs
- Perform a keyword search
- Convert Facebook posts into programs
- Generate a program with AI
- Generate a program from a post
- Insert one or more transitions (images, text, sound) into a program

A transition is a still image/wallpaper that can contain background audio and text, both optional. Just like a schedule, a transition must have a defined duration by default. A transition can be placed in a program or in a programming grid with other programs/transitions. A transition can be used to make an announcement to viewers or indicate, for example, that no program is available. You can, of course, make your own transitions using videos

A schedule or programming schedule is a 24-hour time slot that contains all the programs/transitions to be broadcast over the course of a day. It is in a grid that you can arrange your previously constructed programs and transitions. Like programs and transitions, grids are independent of channels and can therefore be reused. A grid runs from midnight to midnight and may contain empty spaces. If you do not completely fill the grid (until midnight), it will be filled automatically with an empty transition containing the message - no program at the moment -. To set up your 24-hour schedule, you can select programs/transitions, but also empty spaces (without a program), and copy/paste/duplicate certain programs if you want to repeat them during the day. Note: to avoid time constraints linked to the arrangement of programs on a schedule, your last program may exceed the schedule by 2 hours (until 2 a.m.).

Super grids are the last elements you will need to put in place to be able to broadcast your channel. A super grid can span several weeks and contains a set of 24-hour grids (seen previously). A super grid must start on a Monday and must contain at least 7 days/grids or a number of days/grids that is a multiple of 7. You can also start a super grid from the last Monday. Unlike programs, transitions and grids, super grids must be linked to a chain. A chain can contain several super grids, but they must not overlap. The super grids will thus start in order according to their departure date. Please note: You can activate repetition on a super grid, so when all the grids of a super grid have been played and if there is no other super grid starting on the following Monday, your super grid will automatically restart and will continue playing until another super grid starts. Note: the repetition ends after one year; so you will need to update your super grid start date at least once a year if you only have one super grid and repeat is enabled on it.

The Channel Generator automatically builds your channel from the URLs and prompts you enter and/or the programs you select (if you have already created programs). After fetching your media, the Quick Editor integrates them into 24-hour programming grids. These grids are then repeated if they do not reach 7 days, in order to generate at least one super grid that will be linked to your new channel. At the end of the generation, you must therefore have at least one week of programs that will be able to follow one after the other. Of course, the number of grids can be greater than 7, depending on the number of programs you insert in the editor before generation. Your generated channel can therefore contain varied programs that can potentially span several weeks. It is possible to activate repetition on the generated super grid in order to be sure that it will be repeated once it has reached its end. For example, a 7-day super grid will start on a Monday, play all week until Sunday and start again the following Monday.
With the quick editor, you will be able to generate a channel from scratch in only 5 minutes!
